Book Club March

Hello Everyone,

What an amazing group of literary friends I have!   We have been working on writing reviews and making video trailers this last month, after reading Raising Dragons.   Congratulations to Sofi, Jonah, Chloe, Denise, Zion and Ayrelea for sharing your gifts in writing and technical expertise.  To see some of the writing and technical wonders go here.

Our next meeting will be on March 6th at 2.30 pm.  We are reading Swiss Family Robinson and some of our older students are reading Robinson Crusoe.

We look forward to doing a comparison discussion, but reading both books is not required.

For those of you still working on your trailers please feel free to do on any of the books we have read.
At the next discussion I would like you to please find your favourite part of the book to read and share with your fellow book club friends for our next session. We will also discuss outdoor survival from a Christian point of view?  If you were along on a desert island, and you had a choice to have one thing with you, what would it be?

Looking forward to a great discussion and see you all on Collaborize Classroom!

Many Blessings

January Book News

Hello Everyone:)

Welcome back to a great new school year full of reading promises!  I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and holiday with your families.

The last December session was so much fun with the webinar and games!  A big thank you to Micah, for his webinar on video trailers, and all the great Pictionary players.  Also Congrats to Sofi for her great book review here!  I am really excited to see some of your book trailers too during our next session!  There will be prizes for the best trailers:)  Or you can send ahead of time and I can post to the blog.  Here again is the trailer that Micah made for us in his session.

Our next meeting is next week Wednesday 16th Jan, and I am thinking 2.30 pm is perhaps a better time to host our meetings as we had a good turnout?  Let me know please if that time frame works for you?

Here is the link to join the meeting.

I look forward to sharing more about Raising Dragons on Collaborize Classroom soon, but feel free to share your forum discussions.

Many blessings for a healthy, and joyous year!
